Gossett and Ethline J. - Bloomfield
Gossett, his wife Ethline, daughter Kishana, and son Kemar, are very excited about their new Habitat home. Before moving to their Habitat home in Bloomfield. The Jumpp family resided in a multi-family dwelling in Hartford with one bedroom, a small kitchen and small bathroom. Moreover, they shared their small and cramped housing with a relative.
After several attempts to obtain affordable housing in Hartford and spending more than $2,000 in origination and inspection fees, the Jumpp family decided to look into the Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity partnership housing program. It was actually Kishana who learned about Habitat for Humanity from a flyer she received at the Bulkeley High School in Hartford.
The family is now living in their brand new 3-bedroom home in Bloomfield. Five years after leaving Jamaica, the Jumpp family can look forward to living in a simple, decent, and affordable home. A home they can call their own. They are looking forward to more living space and more breathing room. Kishana and Kemar are happily looking forward to their very own bedrooms.
They have stated: “We are truly excited and blessed to have this home-ownership opportunity and, most importantly, a home we can call our own with more living space than we could possibly have ever imagined. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for assisting us with the American Homeownership Dream! ”
