Tamanda - Leading by Example
Tamanda J. began her partnership with Hartford Habitat as one of our 2006 homeowners. Always energetic and ambitious, she was a model homeowner. After closing on her home, Tamanda decided to continue her relationship with Hartford Habitat. She immediately joined the Family Services Partner Team and began mentoring prospective homeowners. She has also helped promote the Habitat mission by participating in several news articles supporting the organization.
For one article, she was featured in the magazine First Time HomeBuyers. Tamanda’s enthusiasm for Hartford Habitat is so contagious that she was able to recruit her employer, Pepe and Hazard, to help sponsor a home.
On February 28, 2008, Tamanda received the "Full Circle Award" presented to a homeowner who has gone above and beyond to help us with our mission of ending poverty housing.
We consider ourselves very lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful homeowner and volunteer. She is a shining example to all prospective homeowners.
