Volunteer Today
Volunteers are at the core of our mission and the work we do as an Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. We welcome volunteers of all skill levels and interests into our Habitat family.
The first step to get involved is to register yourself an individual on our Volunteer Hub.
Once opportunities are posted, registered volunteers receive information via email to sign up and join us. Opportunities are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please complete and print the release waiver waiver and turn in to the coneruction superintendent at job site.
PLEASE NOTE:
**The maximum number of volunteers per group is 15. We also ask that every group coordinator tries his/her best to bring 1 skilled volunteer for every 3-4 unskilled volunteers. These skilled volunteers will work closely with the Construction Supervisor as Crew Leaders.
AGE RESTRICTIONS:
Due to OSHA and insurance requirements, the minimum age requirement for youth volunteers is 16 years old to be on the job site. Hartford Habitat also requires that all construction volunteers ages 16 & 17 are accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while volunteering at the worksites.
Hartford Habitat reserves the right to ask for proof of age.
To schedule a group, community service or for other information regarding volunteering with Hartford Habitat, please contact Turquoise D. Blue at turquoise@hartfordhabitat.org or ext 108.
