Our Mission

"As an expression of our Christian faith, Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity will work with people of diverse faiths and backgrounds to build affordable homes and to provide homeownership opportunities for low income families in the 33 town Capital Planning Region.  We will work in partnership with these families and with each other to build a better community in which decent housing is both a matter of conscience and of fact."

Welcome to our website! We hope you consider getting involved by volunteering, inviting us to speak to your faith organization or place of employment, making a donation or having your company consider sponsoring a house.

Located in Hartford and serving the Capital Region of the State of Connecticut, Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity is the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Since 1989 and with the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, homeowners and staff we have completed over 100 homes! The growth in our building program has been a blessing for our Habitat homeowners and our community.
