Community Service Volunteers
Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity partners with individuals from local civic groups, schools, and the judicial system who need to complete community service hours.
School/scholarship community service may be earned at the office and/or the worksites. If the interested individual would like to work community service hours at the Habitat office, an interview with each candidate individually should be scheduled for approval.
Court-ordered community service hours are to be earned only at the worksites. Individuals who must complete court-ordered community service need to contact the office to request that the Community Service Information Packet be mailed to her/him.
Only after the letter is received at the office and the skills survey is reviewed, the individual can call the office to schedule his or her work hours.
Walk-ons are not allowed on the work-sites without the prior consent of the
Volunteer Coordinator!
For appropriate placement within our organization, HAHFH reserves the right to know the offense related to court-ordered community service.
